The Moon

Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star.

When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator. This famous Quote was given by Mahatma Gandhi & when I was taking the snaps it was really wonderful expericence watching the beauty of Moon in the dark Night, when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.

See how nature - trees, flowers . Grass - Grown in silence ; the Stars, The Moon & The Sun, how they move in silence..
We need silence to be able to touch souls...!

Never say no when a client asks for something, even if it is the moon. You can always try, and anyhow there is plenty of time afterwards to explain that it was not possible.

Animal Planet

You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.

These shots were taken during early morning hours when I saw the gang of Monkeys near by my home. They are such a naughty fellow but loved the way they care of each other.

I was clicking the mother & lil kiddo, it was so loving & caring moment.  Mr. Deepak Chopra has rightly potrayed the feeling of feminine qualities in below Quote.

"I think we need the feminine qualities of leadership, which include attention to aesthetics and the environment, nurturing, affection, intuition and the qualities that make people feel safe and cared for. "

“Parents were the only ones obligated to love you; from the rest of the world you had to earn it. Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life !”

Family:  A social unit where the father is concerned with parking space, the children with outer space, and the mother with closet space.

“What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.”

When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses. To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there. Our most basic instinct is not for survival but for family.  Most of us would give our own life for the survival of a family member, yet we lead our daily life too often as if we take our family for granted.

Rafting

Photography records the gamut of feelings written on the human face, the beauty of the earth and skies that man has inherited, and the wealth and confusion man has created. It is a major force in explaining man to man.

Photography,
as a powerful medium of expression and communications,
offers an infinite variety of perception,
interpretation and
execution.

But sports photography isn't something you just pick up overnight. You can't do it once a year for fun and expect to do a good job. And I take pride in what I do.

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the instrument I want to play, all the friends I want to see & do all the craziest thing I wanted to DO…One of them was River Rafting…!
This shot was taken by a viewer  near  by the location & showed me whn I came out from water - it was my one of the memorable Jump at Rishikesh in Year 2010. It was o much thrilling experience, Cliff jumping is a milder version of this adventure sport, the best part was the memory. After exciting rapids, this was the feather in the Cap..!

A total of 13 exciting river rapids like - ¤ Sweet Sixteen (Grade-1) ¤ Hilton and Terminator (Grade-2) ¤ Three Blind Mice (Grade-3) ¤ Cross Fire (Grade-3) ¤ Roller Coaster (Grade-4) ¤ Golf Course (Grade-4) ¤ Wall ¤ Daniel's Dip ¤ Double Trouble ¤ T-Off ¤ Club House ¤ Black Money along the Ganges await you to take you on some of the most wonderful rafting expeditions.

For some, it is just an adventure sport. For others, it's a hobby. for me , it is both fun and adventure. How does it feel to jump in freezing cold water in mid-summer? The experience is definitely going to be one that you will take time to forget…

Go for It…!

Me & My Drumzz

Music is the doorway that has led me to drawing, photography, and writing.

Being a celebrity you always get really good seats during  a show but you never get as good seats as the Drummers get. And I really love Drumming. .

A lot of people want to make films and do photography and things, but I'm quite happy doing what I'm doing.  I went into music & photography because it seemed like the perfect vehicle for commenting on the madness of today's existence.
I treat the photograph as a work of great complexity in which you can find drama. Add to that a careful composition of landscapes, live photography, the right music and interviews with people, and it becomes a style.

"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain. "

I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music.

Music is very spiritual, it has the power to bring people together.

I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me-like food or water.

Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.

I don't make music for eyes. I make music for ears.

I wake up in the morning, I do a little stretching exercises, pick up the sti..x  and play..!

Sometimes before we make a record I go back and listen to a few. It's equally humbling and uplifting.
The advice I am giving always to all my students is above all to study the music profoundly... music is like the ocean, and the instruments are little or bigger islands, very beautiful for the flowers and trees.

So all in all,

Music is a performance and needs the audience.
So, See you at my Concert.....

Dad & Son

We never know the love of a parent till we become parents ourselves.
This picture is self potraying  the feeling of  love & affection towards his Son, I was watching both of them & clicked this beatutyful moment.

Love is purely a poetry of the senses. Every cliche about kids is true; they grow up so quickly, you blink and they're gone, and you have to spend the time with them now. But that's a joy.

Award 2012

Awards act as catalyst to the receiver and make them achieve more in the respective field.  Praising for an action has been cultivated in our minds right from childhood and therefore, awards are not only a recognition or praise worth but they make others know their worth. Any award does not change the quality of the book or music for whatever he was awarded for. Nevertheless, awards do exist and tell the reputation of the recipient for a very long time.

Believe in yourself ! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. A hard core truth, I have experienced during my nomination & award ceremony at my Office. I got the award from our CEO for AOP 2011-12 : Special Performance in Supply Chain Function & Inbound Logistics Category.

I don't believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

Congradulate yourself Ankur - buck up..!

Childhood

This is one of the cutest shot that I have taken during  Birthday function. Children are wonderful. Even so when they do all those silly things and make you love them even more. Everyone likes or dislikes something in this world, but everyone likes kids at some point or the other in their life. It is those funny things like crayon painting your whole bedroom wall, or taking all your clothes and wearing them – that makes children so lovable and make you want to photography every single act of their life.

Plant Photography Basics

Plant photography involves some of the more vibrantly colored and dynamic subjects in the field, creating artwork on film. No two plants or landscapes are alike, even when photographing within the same area. Read on for tips on how to take plant and landscape photos.

It's All about Timing

The same landscape can look different depending on the time of the day. Photographing during the noon hours can produce stark extremes between light and dark areas, making some areas look washed and overexposed with shadowy portions. Consider photographing earlier in the morning or during the afternoon. An alternative is photographing during an overcast day, making the light appear softer.

Location, Location, Location

One of the best reasons for photographing landscapes and plants is that they do not move much. Photographers can pick a spot and an angle, then set up without worrying about any changes in the scenery. Take the time to figure out what part of the landscape or plant to focus on. Decide on where to set up the equipment. Use light equipment, such as a tripod, to allow for easy setup and transfer between one area to another.

Take Lots of Photographs

Bring lots of batteries and memory cards to allow for more images to be captured. See the same plant or scenery from a different viewpoint. Try going nearer, farther or moving around the plant. Consider crouching or taking a shot from above for a unique angle. Get creative. The sun will be moving along, creating interesting shadows.

Tips for Taking Amazing Holiday Photos

1. Place your subject off-centre

The number one cause of boring family photos is positioning the subject slap bang in the middle of the frame. For an instantly more dynamic image, try and place them to one side, about a third of the way from the edge.

2. Capture those candid moments

It’s important to take the more formal shots well, but the images that your family will most love are those more candid moments where the subject is enjoying themselves, rather than being subjected to yet another photo.

3. Don’t forget to include yourself

A common mistake made by the family picture taker is to never include themselves in the photos. Take a look back through your previous holiday shots – how many times do you appear in them? Make sure that other family members take a few pictures that include you, or even better, use the self-timer or smile shutter function on your camera so that you can join in the fun.

4. Use a tripod

For the formal pictures that certain family members demand, use a tripod or at least rest your camera on a solid surface. This will help keep the picture sharp and enable you to be in the picture.

5. Forget the flash

If at all possible, try not to use your camera’s flash. It usually results in unflattering photos with harsh lighting that your subjects will probably tolerate rather than like. Instead set your camera to a higher ISO speed than normal – sure, you’ll see some noise, but the resulting photos will look much more natural.

6. Fill the frame

Getting up and close and personal with your subject is a sure-fire way to make the photo more interesting. Try and move a few steps closer than you would normally take a picture from – you’ll be amazed at the results.

7. Focus on the children

Everyone likes to see pictures of their children, so make sure that they’re the main focus. You’ll never get them to sit still, so try and take as many photos as possible and don’t worry if a lot of them end up in the virtual bin – just a few good shots will make all that effort worth it.

8. But don’t forget the adults

Remember not to entirely neglect the older members of the family, as they’ll want at least a record that they were there. Try and take a photo of each family member individually – they’ll love being the centre of attention for once.

9. It’s all in the detail

It’s not just the people in your family that are part of the holidays – it’s things like the food, decorations, and the venue too. So take some close-up shots of these to at least serve as a record of all the effort that went into the big day.

10. Share quickly

The days of waiting for your film to be developed and prints to be made are long gone, so take advantage of your camera connectivity and hook it up to a TV before your guests leave. You can all then ”enjoy” editing them as a group, naturally selecting the winners and losers.

11. Print the best photos

We may live in a time when most photos are now shared online, but your family will still value seeing the best photos as prints that can be framed and hung on the wall

10 Ways To Improve as a Photographer

By - - Jim Goldstein, Photographer

1.Cut off participation on photo critique forums. Over time many of the submitted photos start to emulate each other converging into a common style versus diverging to original work.
2.Bein viewing art web sites more frequently to get inspuseums and traveling exhibits to see the work of other artists (not just photographers)

4.Begin looking at and reading classic and contemporary art books

5.Force yourself to use different lenses

6.Intentionally avoided taking the same types of shots by recognizing one’s habits in the field

7.Identify and start personal art projects that you’ll find fulfilling even if they’re unlikely to resonate with others

8.Monitor new technologies (hardware, software or even things out of left field that are unrelated) to see if they might be creatively applied to make something new and never before seen.

9.Take a lot of iPhone photos as a creative white board to see things you might pass over otherwise

10.Ask yourself “What if…?” a lot and try to formulate something new from your basic curiosity.

Go Green

Hi,

I have gone thru very meaningul site http://www.go-green.ae

Every person is the right person to act. Every moment is the right moment to begin". THE Time to Act is Now!

REDUCE

… YOUR CONSUMPTION

The first step to reducing your impact on the environment, is reducing the amounts of resources you consume and use. Think twice before you buy or use anything. Do you really need it? By reducing your consumption you will also decrease the amount of waste you produce.

… YOUR WASTE

There are also many other ways to reduce your waste. The opportunities are nearly endless. Here are just a few ideas.

  • Think before you print or photocopy! Print and copy as little as possible.

  • Edit on screen, not on paper.

  • Use e-mail to minimize paper use.

  • Send and store documents like necessary papers and business proposals electronically instead of on paper.

  • When you must print or copy, do it double-sided.

  • Circulate documents instead of making an individual copy for everyone.

  • Change the margins on your Word documents. The default margins on the documents you print are 1.25 inches on all sides. Simply changing the margins to 0.75 inches will reduce the amount of paper you use by almost 5 percent.

YOUR ENERGY CONSUMPTION

There are so many ways of optimizing your energy consumption

Turn off unused or unneeded lights.

Use natural lighting instead of electric lighting whenever possible.

If you have a desk lamp, make sure it uses fluorescent bulbs (instead of incandescent bulbs).

Dress appropriate to the season

Select cold water for washing clothes

Keep windows and doors closed in heated and air-conditioned areas.

Turn off computers when they are not in use.

Turn off printers, especially laser printers, unless printing.

Don’t use power strips to turn on all computers and desk equipment at once.

When purchasing computers and peripherals, buy low wattage equipment

Minimize use of screen savers and instead enable power management features

Purchase only energy-efficient products

Move your refrigerator. Leaving space between your refrigerator and the wall increases air circulation around the condenser coils, allowing the fridge to operate more efficiently.

RECYCLE

When buying any type of product, see if it is available with post consumer recycled content.

Wrap presents in gift bags. Once you tear the wrapping paper off a holiday gift it ends up in the recycle bin, but gift bags can be used over and over again.

Production of recycled paper uses only half the water and 3/4 of the energy than new paper

Every ton of recycled paper saves almost 400 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space and seventeen trees.

If you recycle soda cans, the energy used and air pollution created, is 95 percent less than if the cans were produced from raw materials.

You could operate a TV set for an estimated three hours with the energy saved by recycling just one aluminum can
